Meet Bella, an eighteen month old Rhodesian Ridgeback cross Mastiff with a sad story to tell. Her first owners wanted her as a guard dog, and were violent towards her when she she showed no guarding instinct. Bella was rescued at 6 months of age by a wonderful lady who loved her and spent 10 months helping her overcome her traumatic puppyhood. Unfortunately fate had a different plan in mind for Bella, and tragic circumstances forced her to part ways with her human soul mate.
Bella’s traumatic upbringing has left her scarred inside, and she is extremely nervous of people she doesn’t know, more so with men than women. None the less, Bella is willing to trust once you show her you’re not going to hurt her, and she is so desperate to please that it’s almost painful to watch. She gets on well with other dogs (but is nervous of small ones), and we feel a calm male companion will help build her confidence. Bella is a very special dog who will be a blessing to the person who adopts her, and I know that somewhere out there is a person deserving of this girl’s love. If you think that person is you, please get in touch and ask about meeting Bella. Bella is currently being fostered in South Wales.
